About me

I am a painter who lives in Quebec City. I paint landscapes and everyday scenes with gouache and watercolour. It's a way for me to ground myself in the present and open up to what makes us all human.

When I was younger, I had the privilege of growing up on Île d'Orléans and being in the front row to see the St. Lawrence River change with the seasons. At home, we could see far away and we felt small. I was young when I began to realize how lucky I was to live in a place marked by seasons, where the light changes from one day to the next, sometimes imperceptibly, to lead us gently towards the next season. And even if I know how to appreciate the spectacular colours of a sunset, or those that the trees take on in the fall, the magic for me has always resided more in the subtle nuances that nature knows to offer.

Nowadays, I humbly try to capture the wonders of this spectacle on small pieces of paper. At the heart of my works is also a desire to describe what brings us together, through moments of connection with nature or with others.

I hope you will find yourself in my paintings and that they will make you want to stop for a moment to take in all this beauty that surrounds us.
